Borris College Amber Flag Team
The Amber Flag Team in Borris College comprises of students from 1st to 6th year. They work alongside Ms. Kavanagh and Ms. Conway to promote positive mental health among the school community.
The team, work to organise events to promote the Pieta Amber Flag initiative which aims to raise awareness of the stigmas which exist and stressors on the mental and emotional wellbeing of our school community. Events to date have included Mental Health Awareness Days, Anti-Bullying week, Positive Thinking workshops for first years, Stand Up Awarenesss Week, Additional Educational Needs workshops for Transition Year students as well as many other whole school events.
Borris College looks forward to building and fostering the excellent promotion of mental health this academic year.
